PHYSICAL STORYTELLING
90 MIN. INTRACTIVE INSTRUCTION VIA ZOOM
Through the lens of narrative mime in the style of Broken Box Mime Theater, participants will explore the communicative capacity of the body. We will begin with physical training in mime technique, then quickly progress to establishing character, relationship, and story without words. Structured in a mixture of group games and teacher demos, we will work together to bring awareness to gesture, body shape, movement quality, and physical intention, introducing the audience’s imagination as a storytelling tool. Focus will be drawn to creating an engaging, healthy, joyful ensemble culture. No experience necessary, all that is required is a sense of curiosity. All access needs welcome.
The online course will be using the Zoom meeting platform.
